Students in both 1st grade classrooms have been refining their digital painting skills in Appleworks. For the paintings below, students learned about landscape paintings/photographs and demonstrated an understanding of the horizon line in their creations. All of the various details in the paintings were created using only the paint brush and paint bucket. Room 102

5th grade students worked with a partner and investigated the qualities to look for in a trustworthy online resource. After researching this topic, students made a list of their top five qualities and sought out screenshots exhibiting good and bad examples of each quality. Finally, students created a Keynote presentation using their screenshots, recorded a voice narration, and exported the presentation as a movie. See their movies below and we hope that you learn valuable information in the process! Be sure to click "Read More" to see all of the presentations. Room 302
After school Tech Club students, from 3rd to 5th grade classrooms, created the following 10 Stykz animations. Students planned their animations by writing a brief planning script with a partner in Microsoft Word. After finishing the script, students used Stkyz to animate their stories. We then exported the animations from Stykz and added sound effects and music in GarageBand. You are seeing the final product of a lot focused and detailed technical work, enjoy! Be sure to click "Read More" to see all of the animations! "Cowboy Adventure" by Jack H. and Jackson D. "Babies" by Zavier R. and Lyle G.
