Students in 5th grade classrooms created presentations in Keynote about the qualities you should look for on a website while conducting research. Students worked with a partner, found a variety of website examples for each quality, and finally narrated a presentation with their partner and exported the presentation as a movie to share here online. Students chose to either be the host or the guest on the show and recorded an interview with each other in Garageband. 5th grade students worked with a partner and investigated the qualities to look for in a trustworthy online resource. After researching this topic, students made a list of their top five qualities and sought out screenshots exhibiting good and bad examples of each quality. Finally, students created a Keynote presentation using their screenshots, recorded a voice narration, and exported the presentation as a movie. 8th grade students from the class of 2012 worked on a variety of animation projects throughout the school year. This is a compilation edited together by 2 students featuring work from everyone in both 8th grade classrooms. Different techniques and software tools were used, including: stop-motion photography, Stykz, Keynote, and Animation-ish.
