First graders practiced active listening strategies while watching a BrainPOP Jr. movie and took one important takeaway from the movie to share with each other. The informational paintings were created in Kid Pix.
Students in first grade learned about non-fiction features recently and then created a diagram in Kid Pix. Together we watched a BrainPOP Jr. movie about forests and students created their own diagram of a forest. They painted the background picture, added appropriate forest stickers, labeled at least three things in the diagrams, connected the labels to the item with a line, made a large title, and finally placed their name in a corner. Check them out!
Students in both 1st grade classrooms learned about diagrams and how to create original diagrams in Appleworks. Students learned about labels, the lines connecting the label to the image, and titles. You can find student names on the diagram images.
This showcase features student work created during Technology classes and after school clubs. The logo image above changes periodically. Logos were created by 8th grade students in Photoshop. Please leave comments! Students love feedback on their work.
